This policy explains what Verity collects and why. We keep it minimal, and we may update it as the service changes — the date above shows the last revision.

If you create an account, your email and a hashed password. We record which steps of the site were used — a search was run, an answer was shown — so we can tell whether the product works, and for a signed-in account those records are tied to that account rather than held anonymously. There are no third-party analytics on this site. You can download everything held about you, including that history, or delete it, from your dashboard. We don't sell your data.
Cookies
Three, all of them ours and all needed for the site to work: a signed session cookie that keeps you logged in, one that remembers your language, and one carrying a token that stops another site submitting a form as you. Nothing tracks you, nothing profiles you, and there are no third-party or advertising cookies of any kind — which is why there is no consent banner to click past.
Payments & providers
When you subscribe, a payment processor handles your card details directly — we never see or store card numbers. If you turn on email alerts, an email provider delivers them for us. We share only what these providers need to run the service, and never for advertising.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. There is no timed deletion running in the background — you delete it, from your dashboard, and it goes at that moment. Two things outlive the account and we would rather name them than let “deleted” imply a clean sweep: payment records, because we have to account for money we took, and they still carry the reference our payment processor uses; and usage events, stripped of every identifier so they describe an event and nobody.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Your email and password exist because you asked for an account and we cannot give you one without them. Usage records exist so we can tell whether the product works, which is our own legitimate interest and not something we sell or share. Payment records we are required to keep. If you think we have any of this wrong, tell us first at the contact below — and if that does not settle it, you can complain to the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), which regulates personal data in the Kingdom.
Where it is kept
On servers in Europe, not inside the Kingdom — so if you are in Saudi Arabia, your account data is transferred abroad, and we would rather say so than let the question go unasked. A few other companies hold parts of it, all outside the Kingdom as well: the payment processor that sells you the subscription and handles your card, the provider that delivers our email, and, when it is switched on, an error-reporting service that receives crash diagnostics — configured not to send your identity or address with them. Nothing else leaves our servers, and none of it is sold or used for advertising.
Your choices
Download everything we hold about you, or delete your account and its data, from your dashboard — both work immediately and neither needs to go through us. If something we hold about you is wrong, including your email address, write to the contact below and we will correct it; there is no self-service screen for that yet, so a message is the route. You can also change your password from the sign-in page at any time.
